Doug & Helga Price are owners of Rimrock Cattle Company Ltd., Echo Sand Ranching Ltd. and related companies. Both Rimrock and Echo Sand are major players in the Canadian cattle industry through the management of 75,000 head feedlots and ownership of three ranches in Alberta running 4000 cow/calf pairs. Doug & Helga’s kids are all involved in the industry and operations at different levels. Doug has served on the board of directors of several beef industry groups and recently served as the board chair for Alberta Cattle Feeders Association and Acme Feeders Association. Doug is a director for Sunterra Farms Ltd. and is an Olds College Graduate.

Evan Hegedys is a director of Rimrock Cattle Company Ltd. He was raised on a cow/calf operation near Sunnyslope Alberta. His parents immigrated to Canada from Denmark in 1981. Evan started growing his own cow/calf herd young and in 2001 began a custom baling operation at 16 years old. Evan started working for Doug Price when he graduated Highschool in 2003 at the Acme feedlot which is now Rimrock as well as the ranches in the Echo Sand Ranching operation. Late in 2009 Evan decided together with his fiancé Tonay Price to purchase their first piece of land where they established a ranching and farming company known as Hegedys Ranching Ltd. In 2013 they welcomed their first child, a daughter, Chesney Leighton. Soon followed by brothers Hayden Marshall and Lane Ryan. In 2016 Evan and Tonay purchased her family’s original feedlot at Acme Alberta called Sandy Crest. Evan is an owner operator of Hegedys Ranching with 1800 cow/calf pairs, 6000 head feedlot and farm 2500 acres. Evan is also currently a director of the Alberta Cattle Feeders Association.
